Artist Biography Adele Knowler is a Canadian visual artist who specializes in contemporary figurative painting and pleinair landscape art. She was trained professionally with a BFA (Laval University, Quebec, CA), an MFA (University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB,CA) and a B.Ed (University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, CA). Her passion for drawing began at an early age, where she was often told to focus instead of scribbling on sides of textbooks, notebooks and anything else that would hold a pencil mark. She thoroughly enjoyed her post secondary training where her love of painting and thematic series format blossomed. After completion of her professional art studies, Adele started her formal exhibition career at Vik gallery in Edmonton, Alberta and has exhibited both nationally and internationally for the last 30 years.
