Biography

Will was born in Calgary, Alberta, and has had a passion for art from a very early age. His education at Capilano College in North Vancouver led to a career as an Illustrator and Computer Graphic Artist but he soon decided to pursue oil painting full-time.

Working exclusively in oils, Will is best known for his bold use of color and the ability to give both personality and vibrance to the subjects he paints. The slightly animated twist of his characters have led to the popularity of his art for those youthful and young at heart.

Although inspired by many, Will admires the works of Modigliani, Guaguin and Balthus. His signature style can be recognized in galleries, movies, television shows, and in both private and corporate collections worldwide. His art has a universal appeal to those who are looking to add a light hearted, witty image to their environment.

Since 1997 Canadian Art Prints Inc. has published Will with over 75 images produced and distributed to over 50 countries. This year they have ventured into the merchandising market producing clocks, plates, coasters, napkins and calendars featuring his imagery.
